ARE YOU AN EYEWITNESS? (2 Peter 1:16-18)
Tuesday Nov 15, 2016
Tuesday Nov 15, 2016
Have you ever been an eyewitness to a crime? At the age of 17, I was the victim of an armed robbery at the store I was working at, and at the age of 18, I was the victim of an assault by a gang of teenagers. In both cases, I was expected to describe what the person, or people, looked like, how tall they were, how much they weighed, how they were dressed, what race they were, were they male or female, and to describe exactly what happened. This is what eyewitnesses do, they testify to the activities that occurred and who did what in the crime. If a suspect is caught, then they are required to testify against them, under oath, swearing that what they are saying is true and factual, so help them God.
Have you ever been asked to be an eyewitness for God? Well, you might say, how is that possible, for we have never seen God? So, let me ask you a question, is your eyesight the only sense that you have which allows you to describe what has happened in an event? Can you use your ears, your taste, your smell, or what you can feel with your hands? How about your feelings, your experiences?
If somebody asked you, is Jesus really the Son of God? Could you be an eyewitness to that fact? Could you testify that Jesus Christ is the Son of God under oath in a courtroom? You should be able to. If Jesus Christ is real in your life, if you have experienced His power in your life, if His spirit lives in your heart, then you should know Jesus Christ better than you do your own spouse. I said a couple of weeks ago, that when you get to heaven and the Lord is waiting for you, you are not going to meet a stranger, you are going to meet your best friend. You are not going to meet somebody you have only read about in a book, you are going to meet someone you have a heart knowledge of. If you are an adopted child of God, joint heir with Christ, then you should be able to testify with absolute confidence as to who Jesus Christ is.
In addition to being an eyewitness to who Christ is, you are likely to also quote from the Bible as proof of who Jesus Christ is, because the Bible is what we base our faith on. We say we believe it because it is the Word of God. Now, if you do, then inevitably, somebody is going to raise the question, How do you know that the Bible is really the Word of God, that it is not just the writings of a bunch of people with a creative imagination?
Listen to this podcast to learn how to answer the questions, is the Bible real, is the gospel of salvation true, and is Jesus Christ the Son of God. Listen to the Word of God as we hear the answers directly from an eyewitness to the Lord’s majesty.
Amen.

TO KNOWINGLY DISBELIEVE (Mark 12:13-27)

The criminal justice system in our country makes a distinction between those who commit crimes either ignorantly or accidentally, and those who commit crimes knowingly, willfully, and with malicious intent. This distinction has been playing out in our media for the last several weeks. However, the justice system has a special dislike of those who commit crimes knowingly, willfully, and with malicious intent.
This same principle works in the spiritual realm as well. The Bible is clear that there are degrees of punishment in Hell, as well as levels of reward in heaven. There is no doubt in my mind that a person like Stalin, or Hitler, or Charles Manson, or a person who would intentionally harm a child, has a special place in the hottest, loneliest, darkest, and most pain filled place in Hell reserved for them. It is a place that they will spend the eons of eternity being tormented in.
But imagine the penalty that will be imposed by God on those who have willfully, knowingly, and maliciously rejected Jesus Christ as the Son of God and the sacrifice that He made on the cross for the sins that they have committed.
These people have heard and rejected the gospel message of Jesus Christ on the TV, the radio, in books and magazines, and the personal testimonies of family and friends who told them how a gracious God has sent His only Begotten Son, so that they may have eternal life. They have then compounded this sin by convincing others to reject Christ, or even persecuting those that are Christians. They have made this choice knowingly, willfully, and maliciously.
Listen to this podcast to hear how Jesus Christ exposes the willful ignorance of those that would reject the Word of God and the great Biblical truth of the resurrection of the dead.

WHAT MUST I DO TO HAVE ETERNAL LIFE? (Mark 10:13-22)

What must I do to have eternal life?
Eternal life is an issue that each of us must decide how real it is, and if it is real, what we must do to have eternal life.
There are multiple religions, philosophies, and teachings, on what eternity looks like, and what a person must do to enter into it.
Must you earn it? Must you be a member of a certain religion? Is there any sin that will be unforgivable, or unpardonable, that would definitely keep you out of heaven?
Now, make no mistake about it, I firmly believe that the only true answer to this question is found in Jesus Christ. It is found in Jesus Christ and Jesus alone. There is no other way to eternal life in heaven, but through Jesus Christ.
Listen to this podcast to learn what Jesus has done, is doing, and will do, to provide you with eternal life. The answers you seek are in the Bible. The Bible is the true, the inerrant, and the Holy Spirit inspired Word of God where Jesus tells us what we must do to find eternal life in heaven.

WHO IS JESUS TO YOU? (Mark 8:27-38)
Monday Apr 29, 2013
Monday Apr 29, 2013
Who is Jesus to you? This is a question that each of us must answer, even if choosing not to answer the question is your response. From an academic perspective, the world has debated who Jesus is for two thousand years. Is He an important religious figure? Is He a prophet, or a teacher? But the question of Who is Jesus to you is about your personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Listen to this podcast to learn how your decision to accept or reject a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God, is the single most important question you will answer in your life. It is more important than choosing a spouse, to have kids or to not have them, or even the career choice that you make. This single decision will determine how you will live beyond the grave. It will determine how you will spend eternity.

TO REJECT JESUS CHRIST (Mark 6:1-13)
Tuesday Feb 26, 2013
Tuesday Feb 26, 2013
The single most important decision you will ever make in your life will be to accept or reject Jesus Christ.
The single most important prayer you will ever pray will be to ask Jesus to be your Lord and Master.
It is not the sin in your life that will determine what happens to you after you die. It is has nothing to do with the scales of good and bad that you have done.
To have eternal life requires that you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Master. To reject Jesus will condemn you to eternal separation from God and torment in Hell. Nothing else matters. Nothing, and no one, else has the power to save you, but Jesus Christ.
Listen to this podcast to learn why people want to reject Christ and what the consequence of that rejection is.

THE ONE WITH THE POWER TO CONQUER DEATH (Mark 5:35-43)
Sunday Feb 17, 2013
Sunday Feb 17, 2013
Someone once said that death and taxes are inevitable. We must all face death. The death of our loved ones, or our own death. There is absolutely nothing we can do about death, or is there? Christianity is unique among all of the world's religions in that its founder conquered death by dying on a cross, being buried in a tomb, and then bodily walking out of that tomb. Jesus Christ is not dead, with His bones lying in a grave like all of the other religious leaders. Jesus Christ is alive and sitting at the right hand of the Father. Jesus Christ has made each person a promise that if you will hear His words and believe on the One who has sent Him, that you shall pass from death unto everlasting life. Jesus proclaims to each of us that He, and He alone, has the power to conquer death and provide everlasting life. He then proved the veracity of this promise with His own life. Listen to this podcast and learn about the One with the power to conquer death.
