Each year we celebrate Christmas as a time of giving, a time of getting together with loved ones, and as a time of joy. Unfortunately, each year there are more and more people who want to take Christ out of the holiday. It has become politically incorrect to say Merry Christmas. We are advised now to say Happy Holidays, instead. The manger scene is no longer allowed to be displayed in our public spaces. Christ is no longer welcome in our celebrations as a nation. This is most unfortunate, because Christ is truly the reason for the celebration to occur at all.
As Christians we are losing the battle of the language because we fail to stand up for the Lord and Savior that we serve. We need to be actively sharing the reason that the virgin birth of Jesus Christ is important to the world. We need to be sharing with a lost world that God sent His Son to be born in a manger so that we might have everlasting life.
