ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE WITH GOD (Mark 10:23 to 31)

ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE WITH GOD (Mark 10:23 to 31)

June 22, 2013

All things are possible with God.

If it is not the strong, or the wealthy, or the sophisticated, or even the educated that can have eternal life in heaven with Jesus, then who possibly can?

In our world these are the ones who are considered worthy of our admiration, our respect, even our worship, but Jesus says that it is easier for a camel to fit through the eye of a needle than it is for one of these to enter into the kingdom of God.

If that is true, then it is impossible for man to save himself, or to earn his salvation from God.

Listen to this podcast to hear how what is impossible for man to accomplish, is simple for the almighty Creator of all things.  Learn how all things are possible with God.  Learn how Jesus Christ has already completed all of the work for you salvation, all you have to do is accept His free gift of grace.

WHAT MUST I DO TO HAVE ETERNAL LIFE? (Mark 10:13-22)

WHAT MUST I DO TO HAVE ETERNAL LIFE? (Mark 10:13-22)

June 10, 2013

What must I do to have eternal life?

Eternal life is an issue that each of us must decide how real it is, and if it is real, what we must do to have eternal life.

There are multiple religions, philosophies, and teachings, on what eternity looks like, and what a person must do to enter into it.

Must you earn it?  Must you be a member of a certain religion? Is there any sin that will be unforgivable, or unpardonable, that would definitely keep you out of heaven?

Now, make no mistake about it, I firmly believe that the only true answer to this question is found in Jesus Christ.  It is found in Jesus Christ and Jesus alone.  There is no other way to eternal life in heaven, but through Jesus Christ.

Listen to this podcast to learn what Jesus has done, is doing, and will do, to provide you with eternal life.  The answers you seek are in the Bible.  The Bible is the true, the inerrant, and the Holy Spirit inspired Word of God where Jesus tells us what we must do to find eternal life in heaven.

IS IT OK TO GET A DIVORCE? (Mark 10:1-12)

IS IT OK TO GET A DIVORCE? (Mark 10:1-12)

June 3, 2013

Is it ok to get a divorce? The modern world that we live in would say, yes, when two people no longer want to be married, they should feel free to get a divorce.  Our religious establishments would say, no, the marriage relationship is permanent and should not be broken.  They go even farther and condemn those that do get a divorce and expel them from the church.  These churches treat those who have gotten a divorce as second-class citizens.  They forget that God is a gracious and forgiving God.  Our Creator, the almighty, living, God, created the institution of marriage to be between one man and one woman, and when that marriage is conducted in accordance with God’s will, it is the sweetest of experiences for that man and woman.  In fact, when two married believers have their eyes on God, that marriage is the closest thing to heaven that can be found on this earth. Unfortunately, man allows sin and hardness to enter into that relationship.  Once there, that sin and hardness creates a desire for the two people to separate what God has put together.  Listen to this podcast to learn what God says about marriage, divorce, and remarriage.  Listen to how the Bible answers the question of Is it ok to get a divorce?

WHAT ABOUT HELL? (Mark 9:41-50)

WHAT ABOUT HELL? (Mark 9:41-50)

May 28, 2013

Is hell really real?

The preacher says that it is. TV evangelists proclaim that hell is full of fire and brimstone. Is what they say true?

The scientist says that it is not. Professors state that there is no empirical evidence to prove... the existence of hell, or heaven, or even life after death. Is what they say true?

Somebody is right and somebody is wrong.

If the scientist is right, then life is short and the grave is all there is.

If the preacher is right, then eternity is a long time to spend burning in the fires of hell.

Listen to this podcast to see how Jesus Christ describes the reality of hell and what our roles are in preventing ourselves, and others, from spending eternity in hell.

CAN YOU UNDERSTAND JESUS? (Mark 9:30-40)

CAN YOU UNDERSTAND JESUS? (Mark 9:30-40)

May 20, 2013

Do you understand Jesus when He speaks to you?

As believers we put many things in the way of our hearing what our Lord is trying to teach us.

We bring the preconceived ideas of our religion to the Lord's classroom. We filter what the Lord says through those ideas, and it keeps us from hearing what the Lord is truly trying to teach us.

We bring the world's values, measures, and standards to the Lord's classroom. We judge greatness, goodness, evil, and sin by the ever changing moral standards of the current social thinking. Using the world's standards prevents us from understanding what the Lord is truly trying to teach us.

Listen to this podcast to learn that the keys to understanding Jesus do not include the rituals of religion, nor do they include the world's standards.

Jesus says that you must first be reborn. You must be a believer to understand the words of Jesus. A person who does not have a relationship with Christ will never hear Him.

Jesus says that you must also accept the role of servant of all. A proud man will never hear the words of Jesus.

It is when we truly hear the words of Jesus that we find the purpose that He has for our lives.

TO HAVE MOUNTAIN MOVING FAITH (Mark 9:14-29)

TO HAVE MOUNTAIN MOVING FAITH (Mark 9:14-29)

May 16, 2013

Have you ever wanted the kind of faith where you could look at a mountain and say "Mountain, I want you to move over there," and the mountain would move?

Now before you say that is impossible, understand that Jesus tells us as believers that If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

Jesus says nothing shall be impossible for us, not even moving mountains.

So, what does it take to have mountain moving faith?

Must you have a mountain of faith?

Must you believe really hard in something or someone?

Must you follow the TV evangelist who cries out "I believe, I believe, now if you will send me your money I can make you believe too?"

Listen to this podcast to learn that God does not ask you to have mountain sized faith, or to believe extra hard in any thing or any one.  God just wants you to have mustard seed sized faith in the things that He wants done, for you to be obedient to those things, and then let Him do the rest.

If you can do this, then nothing shall be impossible to you, not even moving the mountain that God tells you to move.

JESUS IS THE HOPE OF HUMANITY (Mark 9:1-13)

JESUS IS THE HOPE OF HUMANITY (Mark 9:1-13)

May 6, 2013

When you look out into the future do you have hope?

If you do, then what is your hope based on?

Does your hope rest on the government?  Can the government fulfill your needs?

Does your hope rest on religion?  Can religion give you certainty about the future, about life after death?

A person finds hope when there is certainty about the future.  Unfortunately, there is nothing certain about the government, or religion, other than our disappointment in both.

Listen to this podcast to learn that, for the believer, hope does not arise from the individual's desires or wishes, but from God, who is Himself the believer's hope, for it is in God that we find absolute certainty.

Discover how the transfiguration of Jesus proclaimed that Jesus is The Hope of Humanity.

WHO IS JESUS TO YOU? (Mark 8:27-38)

WHO IS JESUS TO YOU? (Mark 8:27-38)

April 29, 2013

Who is Jesus to you?

This is a question that each of us must answer, even if choosing not to answer the question is your response.

From an academic perspective, the world has debated who Jesus is for two thousand years.  Is He an important religious figure?  Is He a prophet, or a teacher?

But the question of Who is Jesus to you is about your personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Listen to this podcast to learn how your decision to accept or reject a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God, is the single most important question you will answer in your life.  It is more important than choosing a spouse, to have kids or to not have them, or even the career choice that you make.

This single decision will determine how you will live beyond the grave.  It will determine how you will spend eternity.

THE LORD OF OUR NEEDS (Mark 7:31 to 8:8)

THE LORD OF OUR NEEDS (Mark 7:31 to 8:8)

April 15, 2013

How do you go about meeting your family's needs?

You anticipate them.  You plan for them.  You work for them.  You spend hours cooking, cleaning, and making the things that they need.  You get up early every morning to go to a job because you know they are depending on you.  You sacrifice for them.  You want them to be able to depend on you.  You want them to have faith that you will be able to meet their needs because you always have.   You dedicate your life to meeting the needs of the family that God has been gracious enough to give you.  You do this because you love them.

If you, as a parent are capable of doing this out of the love found in your human heart, how much more so can Jesus, as the Son of the living God, meet your needs out of the unlimited love found in His divine heart?

Listen to this podcast to learn how Jesus, as the Lord of our needs, plans methodically and miraculously for our needs.  He structures our experiences to build our faith, and He expects us to have faith that He will always be there for us.

That faith comes as we look back at the things that He has done for us in the past.

That faith comes because He has promised to never, never, never, leave us.

WHAT IS IN YOUR HEART? (Mark 7:14-30)

WHAT IS IN YOUR HEART? (Mark 7:14-30)

April 7, 2013

Every day the headlines declare the latest act of violence and evil that has occurred in our nation.

Every day we seek answers as to why these events are occurring more often than we remember in our past. Our politicians and the news media blame the tools of the violence while they ignore the source of the evil that drives these events. They choose to issue gun control and God control laws to handle the problem.

These laws do nothing to solve the problem because it is the evil within the person's heart that drives the ability of man to commit these acts.

Man's heart has a tremendous capacity for love, charity, and compassion for others. Man's heart also contains apathy, indifference, intolerance, and arrogance. Jesus tells us that there are also thirteen things within every man's heart that makes man the most vicious creation on the planet earth.

Our country believes that a man must have freedom to do that which he desires. But for that freedom to be successful it must be constrained by man's absolute belief in the morals of right and wrong established by the living God.

Instead of allowing our belief in the morals of God to constrain the evil that lies with the heart of man, our politicians have chosen to issue laws confining God's morals to the four walls of the church. They have mandated the abolishment of God's teachings from our schools. They have abolished the name of Jesus from our government buildings. They have banned God's commandments from our courtrooms.

They have done this in the name of a new, socially, enlightened, morality. They have called good what God calls evil. In doing so, they have removed the constraints on the evil that lies within the heart of man. Instead of a new morality, we now have a lack of any morality, and they stand surprised at the violence that is the result.

Listen to this podcast to learn that it is what comes from the heart of man that defiles our nation's soul, our people's spirit, and fills our headlines.

WHEN DOES MAN’S LAW SUPERSEDE GOD’S LAW? (Mark 6:53 to 7:13)

WHEN DOES MAN’S LAW SUPERSEDE GOD’S LAW? (Mark 6:53 to 7:13)

March 31, 2013

In the coming days the U.S. Supreme Court will render a decision that could destroy for this nation God's institution of marriage as that being between one man and one woman.

So the question becomes, when is it ok to place man's law above God's law?

It is a fact of history that the founders of our country used Biblical Judeo-Christian values and morals of right and wrong to establish the laws, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights in the creation of our country. They had a strong belief that man's law was subservient to God's law.

As a segment of our country has chosen a different set of values and morals that they wish to impose on this country, they have declared that the founder's beliefs are out of date, unenlightened, and do not meet the needs of a new socially elite, and enlightened, society. So they have decided that man's laws are superior to God's laws.

They have declared the right to ignore God's laws and replace them with man's own cleverness.

Listen to this podcast to hear what Jesus had to say to a nation that made the same choice that the U.S. has made.  Listen as Jesus, the Creator of all things, condemns the arrogance of man to say that man's law supersedes God's law.

SOMEONE TO WATCH OVER ME (Mark 6:45-52)

Do you have someone to watch over you as you go through the problems of life?

Do you have a resource with enough power to call upon when you are in your darkest moments?

But that is not the way Jesus wants you to go through life.

Listen to this podcast to learn how you can have a direct link to the One with the power to put all of your problems beneath your feet. You can walk victoriously over the problems and challenges of your darkest moments.

WHO CAN SATISFY YOUR DESIRES? (Mark 6:30-44)

WHO CAN SATISFY YOUR DESIRES? (Mark 6:30-44)

March 17, 2013

Who, or what, do you depend on to satisfy the desires in your life?

Most of us would answer this question by saying our job. The motivation for you to get up each and every morning to go to work is so that you can earn a wage that you will use to satisfy your desires. We depend on our hard work to satisfy our desires.

Others would say they depend on the government to meet their needs. They look to others to supply their wants and needs.

Listen to this podcast to learn how Jesus used the miracle of the 5,000 to teach us that He is the One that a believer should be depending on to satisfy all of their desires

Your job will fail you. We have all learned this lately.

The government will fail you. Others will fail you.

But Jesus never will. Jesus is the bread of everlasting life.

CAN YOU WAIT TOO LONG? (Mark 6:14-29)

CAN YOU WAIT TOO LONG? (Mark 6:14-29)

March 10, 2013

We live in a society that promotes acting now before it is too late. Items that we want go on sale so we rush down to the store to beat the crowd. Ads proclaim buy now while supplies last.

There is so much noise, so many offers, that we become desensitized to the messages. When companies call us on the phone we screen our calls using caller ID. We don't answer the phone hoping that they will stop calling.

God is knocking on the heart of the unbeliever. God wants everyone to be saved. Not just some elect group of people, but all people. God loves you and He wants you to have eternal life. So God knocks, and God waits. He never barges down your door. He never forces His will upon you. He just knocks and He waits.

The question is how long will God wait? Can you wait too long before God stops knocking and walks away?

Listen to this podcast to find out if a person can pass that invisible line of God's mercy to God's wrath. Can it ever be too late to accept Jesus as your Savior?

TO REJECT JESUS CHRIST (Mark 6:1-13)

TO REJECT JESUS CHRIST (Mark 6:1-13)

February 26, 2013

The single most important decision you will ever make in your life will be to accept or reject Jesus Christ.

The single most important prayer you will ever pray will be to ask Jesus to be your Lord and Master.

It is not the sin in your life that will determine what happens to you after you die.  It is has nothing to do with the scales of good and bad that you have done.

To have eternal life requires that you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Master.  To reject Jesus will condemn you to eternal separation from God and torment in Hell.  Nothing else matters.  Nothing, and no one, else has the power to save you, but Jesus Christ.

Listen to this podcast to learn why people want to reject Christ and what the consequence of that rejection is.

THE ONE WITH THE POWER TO CONQUER DEATH (Mark 5:35-43)

THE ONE WITH THE POWER TO CONQUER DEATH (Mark 5:35-43)

February 17, 2013

Someone once said that death and taxes are inevitable. We must all face death. The death of our loved ones, or our own death. There is absolutely nothing we can do about death, or is there?

Christianity is unique among all of the world's religions in that its founder conquered death by dying on a cross, being buried in a tomb, and then bodily walking out of that tomb. Jesus Christ is not dead, with His bones lying in a grave like all of the other religious leaders. Jesus Christ is alive and sitting at the right hand of the Father.

Jesus Christ has made each person a promise that if you will hear His words and believe on the One who has sent Him, that you shall pass from death unto everlasting life. Jesus proclaims to each of us that He, and He alone, has the power to conquer death and provide everlasting life. He then proved the veracity of this promise with His own life.

Listen to this podcast and learn about the One with the power to conquer death.

If you are lost in a dark world, then Jesus Christ is the answer to that need. Jesus Christ has the power to save you.

FAITH IN SOMETHING OR SOMEONE (Mark 4:33-41)

FAITH IN SOMETHING OR SOMEONE (Mark 4:33-41)

January 28, 2013

What do you place your faith in to get you through the trials of life? Your friends, your family, or your own abilities?

What do you place your faith in to deal with the inevitability of death and what happens after death?

Is it science, medicine, or religion?

Science can tell you why you are going to die, but death will still ultimately come.

Medicine can make you feel better before you die, it can even extend your life, but death will still ultimately come.

Religion, with its works, and its rules, can make you feel like you are doing something about death and what comes after, but death will still ultimately come.

Listen to this podcast to hear what the Word God says that we are to place our faith in. Rejoice as the Bible tells us the something and the Someone that has the power to control death and what comes after.
